Thanks for coming to find out more about me - I'm so pleased you are here.
When I was at school (centuries ago) my favourite part of English was when the teacher asked us to read out loud to the whole class. Genuinely! And I still LOVE reading to my kids - even though they are practically teenagers.
Using my voice has always brought me joy, and I'm excited for every new project I work on.
It's been a journey to get to this point. I'm actually a Broadcast Journalist with more than two decades experience working in TV news. I have a history as a Presenter, Reporter and Producer, delivering hard news and also the glitz and glam of the crazy showbiz world. But I soon realised there are so many other voice over genres out there and I decided to learn a new trade. And I've not looked back.
Born and raised in Glasgow, Scotland - I can't say I have a typical 'Glasgae' accent. I do however have a soft Scottish tone, that is genuine, friendly and warm - because I guess that is who I am as a person as well. I am incredibly efficient, reliable and super professional. My news training has instilled in me the need to meet every deadline. I'm also really lucky to be able to work from home when the time suits, in my fully equipped home studio. Living just outside of London though, makes trips to a studio a doddle too.
I am my happiest with my family and with my super cute cocker spaniel Roman, whether that be at home or travelling the world on mad adventures together.
I am passionate about people and I'm a story teller at heart, and love telling a story through the art of voice. So please do reach out if you think we could work together.
I'd love to hear from you.
Katie
